A huge thank you to the more than 1000 participants who listened to my talk yesterday, arranged by the Insurance Institute, on why our workplaces and businesses need to become Age Friendly. There are currently about 1 million people over the age of 60 living in Ireland. That number will have doubled by 2050, with huge implications for pensions, housing, health and how we run our businesses and our communities.
We are delighted to be consultants to Age Friendly Ireland for the past year, working with them on engaging businesses of every kind in the Age Friendly programme. We have delivered training for Bank of Ireland, Vodafone, Dalata Hotels, Cara Pharmacy, Specsavers, and many other business large and small as the Age Friendly message spreads throughout the country.
